How has your personal journey influenced the vision and aesthetic behind Paper Luxe Studio?
White. At my core, I have always been an entrepreneur. Long before Paper Luxe Studio existed, I spent years building businesses that taught me discipline, resilience, and the realities of entrepreneurship. However, those ventures were not fully connected to my passion or the creative gifts I had cultivated through my education and artistic background. For many years, the furniture industry provided stability and opportunity, but deep down, I knew I was being called toward something far more personal and purpose-driven.
Paper Luxe Studio represents the moment where entrepreneurship and artistry finally aligned for me. It is a brand built entirely from my creative vision, my cultural influences, and my personal aesthetic. As an African American woman, I am deeply inspired by richness — rich storytelling, rich color palettes, rich emotion, and the undeniable beauty within Black culture. I wanted to create a brand that feels intentional, layered, and emotionally resonant.
Everything connected to Paper Luxe Studio is designed to evoke feeling. I want people to experience beauty, excellence, sophistication, and authenticity simultaneously. This business is not simply about design; it is about creating art that speaks, connects, and leaves a lasting impression. It is the truest reflection of who I am, both as an entrepreneur and as an artist.

What does luxury mean to Linia White beyond beautiful design and presentation?
White. Luxury, to me, begins with intentionality and quality. It is not defined solely by price points or exclusivity. True luxury is found in craftsmanship, in attention to detail, and in the care that goes into creating something meaningful from beginning to end. For me, luxury is the ability to tell a story exceptionally well. It is the discipline of thoughtful research, elevated execution, and refined presentation. It is creating work that not only looks beautiful, but also feels emotionally powerful and culturally significant. Luxury is Black excellence embodied through art, design, and storytelling.
There is also an emotional component to luxury that I believe is often overlooked. Luxury creates a feeling — a sense of pride, gratitude, inspiration, and connection. Whether someone is experiencing a custom design, an artistic piece, or a carefully curated brand experience, I want them to feel that they are engaging with something rare, intentional, and deeply valuable. To me, luxury is not excess. It is excellence with purpose.
Many entrepreneurs struggle with consistency and confidence in the early stages of business. What kept you motivated while building your brand?
White. One of my greatest motivations has always been my responsibility to my family. Being a provider naturally instills discipline, consistency, and determination. But beyond that, creativity itself is what drives me. Art is not simply something I do — it is something deeply embedded within me. It is an innate force that continuously pushes me to create, express, and bring ideas to life.
Whether through visual art, design, storytelling, or music, I have always felt a responsibility to use my gifts meaningfully. That internal drive is what sustained me, even during seasons where visibility, resources, or opportunities were limited. What also motivates me is the impact. I want my work to positively represent Black people, Black culture, and Black excellence in ways that feel elevated, authentic, and empowering. I want the work to inspire people, heal people, and remind them of their beauty, value, and creativity.
At the same time, I am deeply motivated by legacy and community. I do not just want to build a successful brand for myself. I want to build an enterprise that creates opportunities for others, employs people, pours back into the community, and becomes a source of inspiration for aspiring creatives who may not yet see what is possible for themselves. That larger purpose is what keeps me grounded, focused, and committed to excellence every single day.
How important has relationship-building and networking been to the growth and visibility of Paper Luxe Studio?
White. Relationship-building has been absolutely essential to the growth of Paper Luxe Studio. For years, I created quietly. I had artwork, concepts, and designs sitting unseen for nearly two decades. It was not until I became intentional about stepping outside, allowing myself to be visible, and genuinely connecting with people that everything began to shift. Networking taught me that people do not simply invest in products — they invest in connection, trust, and authenticity. Once people began experiencing my work firsthand and sharing how it emotionally impacted them, the brand naturally began gaining momentum.
Some of my most meaningful work centers around emotional wellness, healing, and affirmation, and hearing how deeply people connect to those pieces continues to inspire me. Those moments remind me that creativity has the power to move people in profound ways. True networking, however, extends far beyond exchanging contacts or seeking opportunities. It is about creating meaningful, reciprocal relationships rooted in value, integrity, and genuine human connection. The strongest relationships are built when both people are committed to pouring into one another and contributing something meaningful.
I firmly believe that your network can expand your vision, your opportunities, and your impact. Relationships have been one of the greatest catalysts behind the continued growth of Paper Luxe Studio.
