The Central United States of America is currently hit by a strong system of weather, which is going to show its effect on Indiana as well. Strong gusts of wind and thunderstorms are already being reported across the state as the weather worsens. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch as well as flood warnings because of expected heavy rainfall. Severe Weather Conditions Might Bring Heavy Rainfall For The State

The residents of Indiana can expect heavy rainfall as well as thunderstorms throughout this morning. The areas located in central Indiana may remain below the severe limits. However, damaging gusts of wind along with heavy rainfall are still a possibility. The Storm Prediction Center has kept its focus on the southern half of Indiana, which may receive severe thunderstorms and rainfall. The southern Indian is currently at a 2 out of 5 risk level for severe storms. The damaging gusts of wind are the main concern, which have a history of causing severe damage to the infrastructure. In addition to the gusty winds, the state may also receive up to 1.5 inches of rainfall till Tuesday night, which also increases the chances of flooding.

How Long Will The Severe Weather Conditions Continue?

As we approach mid-evening, scattered thunderstorms will still prevail in some parts of the city. The upper-level low that is driving the rain will move towards the north, which means it will pull the rain shield out of the state as well. When the night falls on Tuesday, the residents can expect cloudy skies along with isolated showers. Light rain showers, along with the clouds, will linger throughout Wednesday as well. You can expect Wednesday afternoon to be somewhat grey, cool, and damp, with the highs reaching up to mid-60s. 

When Will The Thunderstorms in Indiana Finally Subside?

The weather on Thursday will feature a strong northwest flow, marking the day as the coolest this week. The conditions expected are dry, however, isolated showers are still a possibility. The highs are going to range somewhere between the upper 50s and to lower 60s. The weather on Friday, which is also Carb Day for Indiana, will expectedly feature mostly cloudy skies. The temperature is going to reach 10°F below the average with highs in the mid-60s. 

How Will The Weather Be For The Coming Weekend?

The dry weather conditions are going to kick in from the holiday weekend. The Northwest flows will maintain the temperatures on the weekend below average, with highs reaching mid-60s. According to the forecast, the weather conditions on the race day, which will be a Sunday, lean towards a sunny day. However, chances of rain are also possible, which will probably be confined to the southern third of the state.
