Ronnie Hawkins has joined the board of directors at Omnicom Group.
Hawkins serves as managing director, head of international investments at EIG Global Energy Partners. Prior to that, Hawkins served in several capacities in the banking industry with a focus on financings for large companies including equity, debt and structured financings.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Ronnie to the Board of Directors,” said Omnicom Chairman Bruce Crawford. “Ronnie comes to us with years of experience in international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, start-ups and divestitures, and I’m confident that he is going to be a great addition to our Board.”
Other top African American execs who have recently joined boards include Ken Chenault (who joined Airbnb’s board), Mellody Hobson (who joined JPMorgan Chase’s board), and Edith Cooper (who joined Etsy’s board).
