And United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch is counted among the newcomers.

A native of North Carolina and a graduate of Harvard Law School, the former Brooklyn prosecutor has years of experience in public corruption and civil rights cases. She is credited with helping to get a conviction against the police officers who assaulted Haitian immigrant Abner Louima in Brooklyn, New York.
