Many of us know him from his days of reporting on MTV News? music video shows and news specials and his high-profile interviews ranging from the biggest names in hip-hop music to President Barack Obama, but Sway Calloway is about to become even more recognized.
According to a press release issued by VH-1, the Oakland, California native was recently signed to serve as an on-air personality and executive producer for new shows that are soon to be aired on the network. One show is a spin-off of the popular ?Behind the Music? franchise. The new show, ?Behind the ?? will ?explore all facets of pop culture, and its intersection with current cultural and political issues.?

Currently, his radio show, ?Sway in the Morning? airs on SiriusXM/Shade 45. He is also the co-host of ?The Wake Up Show.? In 2015, Calloway snagged a recurring role on hit TV series “Empire.”

In addition to his work in music news, Calloway reported on Hurricane Katrina from the Houston Astrodome, and Southeast Asia after the Indian Ocean Tsunami of 2004.
