Ryan P. Parker, chief diversity officer, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJ) and a 2014 Network Journal 40 Under Forty honoree, is counted among the new Board of Trustee members at The American Conference on Diversity. Members of the Board serve as ambassadors to expand the reach and scope of organization?s mission for social justice.

At RWJ, Parker is charged with aligning diversity and inclusion as a critical business component for advancing RWJ?s mission and strategic business objectives. Prior to joining RWJ, he served in similar roles at Children?s Hospital of Philadelphia, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Pittsburgh, and the Association of American Medical Colleges in Washington, DC. He is currently an active member of several national associations focusing on healthcare and diversity. In addition to joining the Board of Trustees for the American Conference on Diversity, he is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Trustees of Crossroads Theatre, and a member of the Board Policy Development Committee of the New Jersey Hospital Association. Mr. Parker received a B.S. degree in Psychology from Jacksonville State University and is currently pursuing graduate studies in hospital administration. In 2014, Mr. Parker was recognized by Becker?s Hospital Review as one of the nation?s top twenty-five healthcare leaders under the age of 40.
