Publishing Veteran Dawn Davis Joins Atria Publishing Group

Dawn Davis joined Atria Publishing Group, a division of Simon & Schuster, as vice president and publisher of a yet-to-be-named imprint. In this role, she will work on literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, journalism, memoirs and pop culture. Prior to this, she worked at HarperCollins for 12 years where she served first as editorial director of Amistad, next as executive editor of HarperCollins and, most recently, as publisher of Amistad. During her tenure at Amistad, she was credited with having published best-selling and award-winning authors such as Edward P. Jones and Chris Gardner.????
