Poet J. Ivy Honored With ‘Top Blacks in Healthcare’ Award

J. IvyLast night, Grammy-Award winning poet J. Ivy was recognized by BlackDoctor.org when he took home the ‘Top Blacks in Healthcare’ award at their annual gala.

BlackDoctor.org is the leading online health destination for African Americans.

The award was given in acknowledgment of J. Ivy’s accomplishments and reputation as a community healer. He is celebrated throughout pop culture for his performance poetry, motivational speaking and hip-hop collaborations.?

His latest works involve a commissioned poem and performance for Michael Jordan’s 30th anniversary for the Jordan brand and a feature on Estelle’s song, “Time Share” on her new album, “True Romance.”?
