Johnson Publishing Company has announced that Mitzi Miller is the new
editor-in-chief of EBONY magazine. Before this, she was editor-in-chief of sister magazine, Jet. Prior to joining Jet, Ms. Miller, 38, was editor-in-chief of sports and entertainment magazine Set and a former associate editor at Jane Magazine, after beginning her career in 2001 at Honey magazine.
Miller replaces Amy Dubois Barnett, former deputy editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar and managing editor of Teen People and Honey magazines. Barnett, 44, is credited with reshaping EBONY’s content and design.
