Makeup artist to some of the entertainment industry’s biggest models and celebrities including Beyonce, Joan Smalls and Liya Kebede, Sir John has recently been added to L’Oreal Paris’ impressive roster of makeup experts.
“We are delighted to welcome Sir John into our L’Oreal Paris family,” said Karen T. Fondu, President, L’Oreal Paris. “His skill for knowing how to draw out confidence and enhance the natural beauty in a woman is exceptional. His creativity and skill will help our consumers translate professionally-inspired looks to the everyday and encourage them to be their own makeup designers.”
“I’m thrilled to be working with L’Oreal Paris – it’s a humbling experience,” says Sir John.? “It’s a brand I have admired for years, dating back well before my career as a makeup artist even began. I will wear my new title with pride and aim to inspire as many women as possible.”
Prior to his solo career as an artist, Sir John briefly worked for famed makeup artist Pat McGrath. He also worked in visual merchandising at Gucci and in window display at Henri Bendel. But it was his 2011 introduction to the likes of one Beyonce, L’Oreal Paris Ambassador, that changed everything. He became her official makeup artist travelling with her during her last two worldwide tours and contributing his artistry to her popular, game-changing self titled album, Beyonce.
?We shot videos all over the world. It was such a great experience,? he shared in a recent interview with Vogue magazine.
In his new role at L’Oreal, Sir John will work on product development and social media.
