Kierna Mayo, former editorial director of Tyra.com, was appointed editorial director, Digital, for EBONY Magazine. In this role, she will shape the content and direction of ebony.com and develop brand presence across digital platforms. She will report to editor-in-chief Amy DuBois Barnett.
In her 20-year career in journalism, Mayo has written for several magazines including Essence, Marie Claire, Glamour, Seventeen, Vibe and Uptown.
She earned a BA in Mass Media Arts from Hampton University.
