Janeen Uzzell was named head of technology at GE. Prior, she served as global director external affairs and technology programs. In this role, she was charged with leveraging global expertise and experience with technology to assess the landscape and identify trends and needs to build global, government, and commercial partnerships, and ensure optimal alignment with internal GE business partners.
She is credited with executing and building new models of commercial and global partnerships, and growing externally funded research programs 12.3% to $100 million in 12 months.
Her new role will include identifying break out moves that all technical functions can benefit from, aligning metrics to measure progress and leveraging global best practices.
A 2016 Network Journal “25 Influential Black Women in Business” honoree, Uzzell earned an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a B.S. from North Carolina A&T State University.
