Award-winning writer and popular public speaker on race and culture Jamilah Lemieux was recently hired to be the VP of News and Men’s Programming at Interactive One. Prior, she served as Senior Editor at Ebony magazine.
In her new role, she will develop complementary video series anchored by powerful investigations, reports and stories about Black America. At TheUrbanDaily, she will enact a fresh approach to men’s lifestyle coverage and redefine the aesthetic of the site and brand.

“This is such an important time for Black America? there are so many critical issues to understand, unpack and tackle. At the same time, we are the focus of the world and our talents touch every corner of the globe. I want to celebrate that. On this leg of my career I’m looking forward to embarking on a meaningful journey with a dynamic group of creatives who share my passion for telling Black stories and affirming our lives,” Lemieux said.
A graduate of Howard University, Lemieux resides in Brooklyn, N.Y.
