On Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the 18-year old Texas native won her third consecutive U.S. championship title. She is now credited with being the first American woman with three consecutive wins.????
A 2015 high school graduate, Biles has been competing nationally since 2012. Success came quickly. That year, she finished first in many of the competitions she participated in and, before year’s end, was even named a member of the United States Junior National Team.?
So far, her young career has taken her around the world. In Belgium and China, she competed in the 2013 World Artistic Gymnastic Championships; in Italy, she competed in the 2013 City of Jesolo Trophy. In Germany, she competed among other Americans against teams from Germany and Romania.
As of July, Biles has turned pro.
