Ghillaine A. Reid has joined McGuireWoods? Government Investigations and White Collar Litigation Department. Prior, she served as a branch chief in the enforcement division of the SEC?s New York regional office and an agency staff attorney for three years before that. In those roles, she investigated and litigated a wide range of securities enforcement matters.
She comes to McGuireWoods from the New York office of Schoeman Updike & Kaufman. Before that, she was a partner and director of business and commercial litigation department at Gibbons P.C.
In her new role, she will serve as a partner and co-head of the financial institutions industry team?s broker-dealer practice.

A 2010 Network Journal 40 Under Forty honoree, Reid earned an undergraduate degree and a J.D. from Boston University.
