An international protest for the 300 kidnapped girls in Nigeria has begun. This week, First Lady Michelle Obama tweeted her support for the girls and set off a social media campaign that is growing in size and gaining strength worldwide.
According to an article on Daily Mail?s website, ?The Bring Back Our Girls hashtag was first used on April 23 by a Nigerian lawayer, Ibrahim M. Abdullahi, who tweeted the phrase during a speech given by Dr Oby Ezekwesili, Vice President of the World Bank for Africa, at a UNESCO event.?
Now, politicians, activists, students and celebrities everywhere have been joining the fight.
The girls were kidnapped from their school by the Boko Haram terrorist group who are against the idea of girls getting an education. ? ?
