Egypt Sherrod holds certifications as a masters negotiator, residential specialist, accredited buyers representative and a distressed property expert. Her skills in real estate, honed over the last 15 years, led her to host one of the top-rated HGTV shows, ?Property Virgins,? and a renovation design spin-off, ?Flipping Virgins,? currently in production. ?Property Virgins? was a godsend. It was perfect timing. After being in radio for twenty years, most people knew me as only a radio personality. I was also a practicing realtor and wanted to rebrand myself. The show, which airs in five countries, put me on a national and international platform, so when people think of real estate in Atlanta, they think of me. That?s important when it comes to branding,? she explains.?

With all of her television work, Sherrod, who earned a bachelor?s degree in broadcasting at Temple University, makes time for her entrepreneurial endeavor. As CEO of Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group, she counsels first-time homebuyers and monitors the listing and marketing of homes owned by corporate leaders, physicians and investors throughout Atlanta. ?I adore being able to educate people about the process of homeownership. It?s not rocket science; it?s just about putting one foot in front of the other,? she says. ?She also conducts free financial boot camps through her Egypt Cares Family Foundation.?

Sherrod?s biggest professional highlights to date include interviewing Oprah Winfrey and being nominated for an NAACP Image Award for her book Keep Calm, It?s Just Real Estate: Your No-Stress Guide to Buying a Home. The highlight of her personal life, however, was meeting and interviewing late singer-songwriter Prince, then being invited to sing with him on stage at one of his concerts. Sherrod?s radio interview with Prince was one of the very last before his untimely death in April.
