Courtney O?Neal was recently promoted to Manager of Communications at the National Urban League (NUL). Before this promotion, she served as Communications Associate for four years.
As Communications Manager, she helps to elevate the Urban League?s legislative agenda and to position the Washington Bureau as a thought leader in policy through digital strategy, brand management, and media outreach.? She also manages the Washington Bureau?s social media channels and the production of NUL?s biweekly e-newsletter, The Washington Update.?
Prior to joining NUL, O’Neal worked as a management analyst at Bronner. A member of the Spelman College Alumnae Association and the National Journal of Publications (Atlantic Media), her past positions include deputy scheduling director for the United States Senate and press assistant for Obama for America.?
A Spelman College graduate who earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, O?Neal also earned a Master of Communications from Trinity Washington University.
