He?s created a show-stopping Couture gown worthy of applause. And this is exactly what the wearer of the dress, legendary actress Cicely Tyson, received when she graced the stage last month to receive her 2013 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her role in “The Trip to Bountiful.”?
“My inspiration was to create an Haute Couture Dress that would somehow reflect Ms. Tyson’s moment. It’s about theater… and fantasy,? b michael told TNJ.com.??I also felt that the dress needed to be on the scale of the evening’s expectation. The color indigo is a rich navy drenched with purple and?reflects the royalty of its wearer,” he adds.
