Apriel Biggs has been the managing director of change management and technology adoption at Cushman & Wakefield for less than a year and already has earned the commercial real estate giant?s trust as the voice of its global technology organization. Biggs had ample preparation as a change agent. She began her career as an inaugural ?experimental? intern in systems engineering at United Technologies, rising to senior technical project manager for Vendor Operations and Systems and blazing a trail for young engineers.

Biggs earned a bachelor?s degree, concentrating on applied mathematics, at the University of Connecticut, and an MBA in global technology management and master?s in management technology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., she serves causes aimed at youth development, economic empowerment, education, health, science and technology, including GLAM Camp for Girls, but considers her greatest accomplishment to be the Up Close & Personal workshops she leads with high school girls. ?To be able to create an environment where young women feel safe enough to share their personal experiences and pain in an effort to become the best versions of themselves has been life-changing for me,? she says. ?

Biggs is the host of ?Love, Life & Fabulousness? talk radio and the first ?and reigning ? Ms. Connecticut Plus America in the Miss Plus America Pageant. Her goal ?isn?t to help women be flawless but fearless game changers because the world already has enough followers,? she says.?

She reserves Sundays for herself. ?Working in the city that never sleeps, I personally feel Sunday is my opportunity to stop and truly be grateful for all of the bounty and blessings in my life, both seen and unseen, and for me to renew my spirit so I may continually give to others because so many have given and invested in me,? she says.
