Pamela Hutchinson was named global head of diversity and inclusion at Bloomberg LP. She replaces Erika Irish Brown who has moved on to Goldman Sachs where she serves as Chief Diversity Officer.
Michael R. Bloomberg himself made the announcement.

Our diversity – including our openness to people with different ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds – helps give us a competitive edge. We are always looking to sharpen that edge and deepen our commitment to an inclusive environment that treats all employees with dignity and respects them as equals,” he said.
A 20-year veteran of diversity initiatives in the financial services space, Hutchinson said of her new position, “Bloomberg has been doing leading edge work in diversity and inclusion and this is a fantastic opportunity to drive a global effort and take it to the next level. It’s a business imperative for Bloomberg to have an inclusive workplace as the company focuses on attracting, retaining and developing employees around the world.”
Before joining Bloomberg, Hutchinson held roles at Northern Trust, Deutsche Bank, Barclays and Goldman Sachs. She will be based in Bloomberg’s new European Headquarters in London.
