NEW YORK (AP) ? Online game maker Zynga has bought New York-based OMGPop, maker of the popular mobile game “Draw Something.”
Zynga Inc. did not give financial terms of the deal. “Draw Something” is a word game that has players draw pictures and guess what other people have drawn. The game launched just six weeks ago. Since then, Zynga says it has been downloaded more than 35 million times.
The San Francisco company’s last big acquisition was Newtoy Inc., the company behind “Words With Friends,” in 2010.
