Americans sure do like their wireless devices. Those devices, experts say, now outnumber their users. Compared to an estimated 315 million people, reports indicate that there are now 326.7 million mobile devices in the U.S.
These statistics are likely attributed to recent studies that show that many people own one, if not two, devices: a smart phone and a tablet, and according to the Consumer Electronics Association, in the past 15 years, the number of gadgets in a household of 2.6 people has doubled, from 12 to 24.
Text message activity has also gained considerable popularity, with a number of 1.138 trillion sent last year.
Bad economy or not, purchases of wireless products have shown no evidence of slowing down.
