LONDON (AP) ? WikiLeaks says it has begun publishing leaked emails from U.S. intelligence analysis firm Stratfor.
The online anti-secrecy group says it’s sitting on more than 5 million emails from the Austin, Texas-based Stratfor and that it’s putting them out in collaboration with two dozen international media organizations.
How WikiLeaks got its hands on the emails remains unclear, but Stratfor said in a statement Monday that the messages appeared to be the same ones stolen by hackers over the Christmas holidays.
It condemned the disclosure as “a deplorable, unfortunate ? and illegal ? breach of privacy.”
Austin, Texas-based Stratfor is a subscription-based publisher providing political, economic and military analysis to help customers reduce risk.
