WASHINGTON (AP) ? The Obama administration says it has no indication that ousted leader Moammar Gadhafi has left Libya.
White House spokesman Jay Carney says the Obama administration is continuing to work with rebels and NATO partners as the situation in Libya unfolds. He says if the United States knew where Gadhafi were, they would pass that information on.
Carney’s comments come as the Algerian foreign ministry said Gadhafi’s wife and other relatives fled to Algeria Monday. But the foreign ministry did not say whether Gadhafi himself was with his family.
While Libyan rebels have effectively ended Gadhafi’s rule, they are yet to find the longtime leader.
