When Are Social Security Disability Benefits Paid To Beneficiaries Receiving Them Since May 1997 Or Earlier?

In case you are someone who has started receiving Social Security Disability benefits since May 1997 or even earlier than that, you are going to receive the benefits on the 3rd of every month. The administration will pay the benefits on the 3rd of every month unless the date falls on a national holiday. In case the 3rd of any month falls on a national holiday or a weekend, you will receive the benefits one or two days earlier.

When Are Social Security Disability Benefits Paid To Beneficiaries Who Started Receiving Them After May 1997?

In case you are someone who has started receiving Social Security Disability benefits after May 1997, you will receive the payment according to a pre-existing schedule. This schedule is made depending on the date of the month you were born. Those who were birth between the 1st and the 10th of any month receive the benefits on the second Wednesday of the month. Similarly, those who were birth between the 11th and the 20th of any month receive the benefits on the third Wednesday of the month. On the other hand, those who were birth between the 21st and the 31st of any month receive the benefits on the fourth Wednesday of the month.

When Will You Receive The Social Security Benefits In May 2025?

If you are someone who has started receiving Social Security benefits since or before May 1997, you were originally scheduled to receive the benefits on 3rd May 2025. However, the 3rd of May this year falls on a Saturday, which means you will receive it one or two days earlier. Those who started receiving the benefits after May 1997 will receive the payments according to the schedule explained above. The first round of payments for beneficiaries having birth dates between 1st-10th will go out on the 14th of May 2025. Similarly, the second round of payments for beneficiaries having birth dates between 11th-20th  will go out on the 21st of May 2025. The third round of payments for beneficiaries having birth dates between 21st-31st will go out on the 28th of May 2025.
