SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ? Verizon Wireless says its high-speed 4G LTE data network is operating normally after a glitch cut off service for some customers between late Tuesday and Wednesday.
The nation’s largest wireless carrier says some of its 4G customers reported intermittent or unavailable 4G service, or devices operating on 3G, for periods starting late Tuesday.
Verizon says the problem was a technical issue and was fixed by the company’s network operations team.
Verizon says customers were still able to make calls and use its older 3G data network at the time.
Verizon began rolling out its 4G network in late 2010. It was available in 179 U.S. markets as of mid-November and is expected to be in 185 markets at the year’s end.
