Travis Scott’s much-hyped Coachella 2025 show was one of the highlights of the legendary music festival. But while everyone was hyped, the show ultimately cost the organizers a $20,000 fine, all for a small curfew overrun.
The Set That Broke the Rules
Travis headlined both Saturday nights during the festival’s two weekends. For his first Saturday night, his performance actually came up only five minutes over the midnight curfew imposed by the City of Indio. It was enough to set off a provision of the contract between the city and the festival promoter, Goldenvoice. The stipulation? A $20,000 fine for the initial five minutes over curfew, plus $1,000 for every minute thereafter.
The better news: Travis only ran behind by five minutes. The worse news: That five minutes ran Goldenvoice $20,000.

Who’s Truly Responsible?
As per the reports the delay was not completely Travis Scott’s responsibility. He was supposed to perform after Green Day and ur ran behind schedule by 15 minutes as a result of a fireworks mishap. Because of that, Travis’ show began behind schedule, with very little flexibility left to accommodate him.
Despite that, the city enforced the fine according to the deal. It’s interesting to point out that this was the sole curfew breach during both Coachella weekends and the subsequent Stagecoach Festival, so the monetary bite may not sting quite so much for Goldenvoice.
Fan Reaction? Unbothered.
Attendees didn’t complain about the additional five minutes. Travis performed an energetic set that fans were happy to witness. Famous for his complex sets and aggressive stage presence, the Houston rapper again demonstrated why he’s among the most in-demand festival headliners.
Supporters lauded production quality and Travis’s skill at maintaining the energized atmosphere. The short curfew violation was well worth it for many, as it made for a night to remember.
In the meantime: JACKBOYS 2 Coming
While headlines were abuzz with news of the Coachella fine, Travis was keeping busy with a tease of new music. In a recently posted Instagram birthday message to his mother, he informed that “JACKBOYS 2 which is the highly anticipated follow-up to his 2019 compilation album might be coming out this week.
“EVERYONE WISH THE BIGGEST GOAT A HAPPYYYY BDAAAYYY,” he posted, addressing his mom. “PS I PLAYED HER JACKBOYS 2. SHE SAID DROP ON YOUR BDAY BABY JACK.”
Travis’s mom’s birthday is April 30, and rumors are that the album will be released that day or on Friday, the usual day for new music.
What to Anticipate from JACKBOYS 2?
Travis has been hyping the project for weeks. “Jackboys album brazy. I just threw up. Certified,” he wrote online. He went so far as to say that he would put out the album before getting back to WWE, where he’s been showing up in unexpected places of late.
The debut JACKBOYS album was released in 2019 and peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200. It included a lineup of Cactus Jack talent and was a huge commercial hit. Fans are looking forward to more collaborations and new soundscapes on the sequel.
Coachella Controversy or Hype Booster?
While some may view the fine as a tarnish on Travis’s Coachella streak, others consider it to be no big deal. Five minutes of additional music? To many fans, that’s an added bonus, not an issue. And to Travis, it just adds to the momentum leading up to the release of his new endeavor.
In the End
One late arrival. One curfew violation. One big fine. But also, it came with one unforgettable performance and a possible new album in the works. For Travis Scott and his fans, Coachella 2025 wasn’t only a music festival, it was a moment.
