Mike Tyson Fights: A former boxer by profession, has had many memorable moments throughout his career. If we pick some of the best moments, except biting off someone’s ear, there could be a long list to refer to. Being one of the most famous athletes of all time, there is no shortage of moments in his life and career. From having 57 fights, 44 KO victories, 10 KO victories in world-title fights, and 6 titles in the heavyweight division, he has marked his marvelous journey in his boxing career. Other than his achievements in Boxing, there is an additional accomplishment of Mike Tyson, i.e., in movies.

1. Knocking out Michael Spinks

Michael Spinks was a talented boxer who was known for his ruthless boxing sessions with his opponents. However, on 27 June 1988, his fame for his game was taken away by Mike Tyson, who knocked him out in the game. Both players stood in the ring after grounding for a long time. Mike Tyson was standing in the ring after almost 3 months of inactivity, while Michael Spinks stood in the ring after almost a year.  While Tyson had a win streak of 34, Spinks had a winning streak of 31, which is not too far from him. It could be an easy guess about how Spinks lost the game against Mike Tyson.

2. Knocking out Bruce Seldon

After around 9 years, a moment came in Mike Tyson’s career that brought him immense fame in his career. He held the WBA Heavyweight title after beating Bruce Seldon in the ring with a winning streak of 7. This was one of the in-demand fights of Tyson against Seldon, who had a winning streak of 9 in the game. This was the first time the boxer beat down Bruce Seldon throughout his career. 

3. Victory over Larry Holmes

On 22 January 1988, in an early fight, Tyson marked his victory over Larry Holmes in a defensive fight. While Tyson was on his 32nd winning streak in the match, Larry Holmes had a negative winning streak of 2, which indicated an easy win for Tyson. These statistics are enough to tell who would have won the match. By the end of the fourth round, which was the most one could have tackled, Tyson had defeated Larry Holmes and secured his titles and his name in the sports industry. With this match, Mike Tyson gained a score in his existing one, while Larry Holmes lost points. 

4. Defeated Trevor Berbick

On 22 November 1986, Mike Tyson won another WBC heavyweight title after defeating Trevor Berbick in the boxing ring with ease. It was quite expected, seeing that Mike Tyson has a winning streak of 27, while Trevor only had a winning streak of 9. However, the contestants still must be having a hard time, as losing the game means losing the winning streak. It was an easy win for Tyson over Berbick in the game, who was the 1st runner-up in the end. 

5. Knocked out Carl Williams

On 21 July 1989, Mike Tyson had to fight against Carl Williams in the boxing ring, where his fate lay. It was an interesting game and built pressure on Williams from the beginning, as he only had a winning streak of 5.  On the other hand, Mike Tyson had a winning streak of 36, which indicated an easy game for Tyson. The indication was true as well, as he quickly turned the tables for Carl Williams and won. This turned Tyson’s winning streak to 37, while the loss turned Carl’s score to 22-3. 

6. Knocked out Frank Burno in a Rematch

On 16 March 1996, Mark Tyson came face to face with Frank Bruno in the championship again. The rematch was an interesting moment of the championship, where both players were well aware of each other’s signature moves. Mike Tyson had a winning streak of 6 in the game, while Bruno was prepared with a winning streak of 4 in the game, which is quite close. By the third round, Mike Tyson knocked down Frank Bruno and gain a victory in this match.

7. Victory over Tony Tubbs

On 21 March 1988, Mike Tyson marked his win over his opponent, Tony Tubbs, in the championship. The match was going to be an easy one as Tyson had a streak of 33, while Tony Tubbs only had a winning streak of 3 in the season. Tony Tubbs must be under enough pressure due to the difference. Just as said, the game was a cup of tea for Tyson as he won the match over Tony Tubbs in the 2nd round. 

8. Victory over Frank Bruno in the first match

As mentioned earlier as well, Mike Tyson and Frank Bruno met again in the championship for a match. However, the first match was also a treat to watch, when Mike Tyson had to compete with Frank Bruno for a win. It was 25 February 1989, when they had their first match in their career’s history. Tyson then had a winning streak of 35, while Frank Bruno had a winning streak of 4, which was a huge difference. The match was a treat to watch as it dragged on till the 5th round, until Tyson defeated Frank Bruno after having a tough time. By this time, he was the holder of the WBC, WBA, IBF, and the Ring Heavyweight titles, and defended his name and his titles. 

9. Defeated opponent James Smith 

On 7 March 1987, a WBC champion and a WBA champion, Mike Tyson and James Smith, came face to face in the boxing ring. However, Tyson had a 28 winning streak in the season, while James Smith had a lower streak of 4. Anyways, the match was an interesting one where both tried to outsmart each other. He defeated James Smith with ease and secured both WBA and WBC champion titles at the end of the match. 

10. Knocked out Pinklon Thomas

On 30 May 1987, Mike Tyson had to come face to face with Pinklon Thomas in the boxing ring for the match. While Tyson had a winning streak of 29, Pinklon Thomas had a winning streak of only 3. However, the game went on to the 6th round when Tyson finally ended the cycle with Pinklon Thomas by his victory. It was indeed an interesting match where both opponents tried to outsmart each other.
