The preliminary investigation led to the initial charges indicted against Christina Formella.

However, during the detailed investigation that also included interviews of the victim, it was revealed that the sexual assault first began in January 2023 and continued till August or even September 2024. According to what Berlin’s office said, Formella during these years allegedly sent several text messages to the boy that were grooming in nature.

The investigation also revealed gruesome details about Formella and her crimes. This includes the allegations that Formella engaged in sexual acts with the victim about 50 times. The assault happened both in the school and at Formella’s home. According to the allegations, Formella indulged in sexual acts with the victim around 45 times at school.
