FALLING NUMBERS: Navigation device maker TomTom says sales fell 31 percent to ?357 million ($478 million) in the fourth quarter, while earnings after restructuring costs was down 67 percent to ?17 million.
WHAT HAPPENED: The market for its core products continues to shrink. Consumer sales of its personal navigation devices dropped 40 percent to ?242 million in the quarter from a year ago.
JOB CUTS: TomTom said in December it was cutting 457 jobs, or about 10 percent of its work force.
