THE DELAY: Research In Motion Ltd., maker of the BlackBerry, is delaying the launch of an upgraded operating system for its struggling PlayBook tablet computer. It will now come in February, rather than this month.
THE REASON: The company says the new version of the operating system isn’t up to its standards at this point.
NOT COMPLETE: RIM also says the new version also won’t have the popular messenging service BlackBerry Messenger when it’s introduced in February.
