THE DEVICE: Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus combines the newest version of Google’s Android software — Ice Cream Sandwich — with sleek hardware, making it one of the best candidates to compete with Apple’s iPhone. The device will be available in Thursday in the U.S. for $300 with a Verizon Wireless contract.
THE FEATURES: The smartphone has a large touch screen that’s excellent for watching videos. Ice Cream Sandwich includes changes like an improved browser and Gmail app. There’s also a new feature that uses facial recognition technology to unlock the phone.
