NEW YORK (AP) ? Stocks are slightly higher in midday trading with banks leading the way.

Bank of America rose 7 percent early Tuesday after it beat most Wall Street expectations thanks to accounting gains and the sale of a stake in a Chinese bank.

Markets wavered in early morning trading, however, on concerns that France and Germany may not reach an agreement on additional support for Greece.

The Dow Jones industrial average is up 63 points, or 0.6 percent, to 11,464 at 11:49 a.m. Eastern. International Business Machines tugged on the Dow, falling 5 percent, the most of any Dow stock by far.

The S&P 500 rose 9 points, or 0.8 percent, to 1,210. The Nasdaq composite rose 16 points, or 0.6 percent, to 2,631.
