    St. Augustine’s College is one of the Historical Black
    Colleges and Universities
    (HBCUs) founded in 1867 by Episcopal clergy for the education of freed slaves.
    This private institution serves the African American students of North Carolina
    and the United States. The college offers a degree in film production and it
    was the first HBCU operating its own commercial radio and television stations.
