Longtime news anchor Soledad O’Brien, who left CNN last year and started her own production company, Starfish Media Group, has a new project coming up. She’s all set to partner with tech giant Google to embark on her first speaking tour.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, O’Brien said: “The speaking tour is very different than doing a show, where, you can have momentary jitters about nailing a break, getting to commercial on time, or finishing the interview in four minutes. I’m not nervous about anything…. I’m looking forward to things getting challenging.”
O’Brien has hosted several installments of the documentary series, “Black in America,” and is a contributor for Al Jazeera America.
