Financial security starts with income. As families across the country continue to pay down debt and work to get their finances in order, here’s a snapshot of the median household income across the country. Nationwide, the median household income is roughly $50,000.
Note that median household income means that half of the households in the state have income above that level, and half have income below. It shouldn’t be confused with average income or individual income ? household income can reflect the earnings of more than one person.
