Released this week, it is the story of Giovanni?s friends coming over for Sunday dinner. His grandmother is serving a traditional Jamaican dish and he is worried that his friends will think it weird. His Aunt saves the day by taking Giovanni on a magical ride around the globe to places where people embrace the dish and its culture origins.
An American-born daughter of Jamaican immigrants parents, Richards, a 2004 Network Journal 40 Under Forty honoree, hopes the book will serve as an educational resource for families seeking to teach their children the value of their heritage and the importance of cultural diversity.
