Public Enemy inducted to Rock and Roll Hall of FameRolling Stone announced that Public Enemy and Donna Summer are among the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees for 2013.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction will take place on April 18th, 2013, at the Nokia Theater. It will also be broadcasted on HBO on May 18, 2013.? Tickets will be available for sale to the public on January 25th.

For the first time in history, the public was allowed to participate in voting for the music group they wanted to see in the Hall of Fame this year. Votes were taken online, and were labeled ?Fan?s Ballot?. The ballot was counted along with 600 other ballots that were taken.

According to Rolling Stone, Public Enemy is the fourth hip-hop music group to get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Followed by the Beastie Boys in 2011, Run-D.M.C in 2009, and Grandmaster Flash and Furious Five in 2007.
