Pop-star Rihanna has made her way into the television business in the U.S. She will launch her own television show called ?Styled to Rock? which will air in 2013. The 24-year-old singer will executive-produce and star in the new series for the Style Network.
This is not the first time that Rihanna has starred in a reality fashion television show. The singer produced and starred in the U.K style competition also known as ?Styled to Rock? for ten weeks earlier this year for one of the British networks. The show was cancelled due to low ratings and reviews and now Rihanna has a second chance to make it work in the U.S.
The show will consist of 10 one-hour-long episodes, and will feature 12 aspiring fashion designers – chosen by Rihanna herself – who will have to style a celebrity. The fashion designers will be judged by weekly celebrity guests, who will decide together which designer did the best job. After deliberation, one contestant will be sent home while the other designers will advance to the following week?s challenge. During the last episode, only one fashion designer will be crowned the winner.
The search for the 12 contestants began on Wednesday, December 5, through the Style network’s website. Prizes are still being determined.
