Four-wheeled utility vehicles that pose a fire hazard, lawn tractors with potential braking problems, and a toy that could tip over and hurt children are among the products recalled this week.
Here’s a rundown of the potentially dangerous products:
UTILITY VEHICLES
DETAILS: 2012 Kawasaki four-wheeled, off-highway utility vehicles with side-by-side seating for two people and automobile style controls. Each model has a bench seat, a rollover protection structure and a cargo bed. The vehicles are available in the colors green, red, black and camouflage. Models being recalled include green MULE 600 with model number KAF400BCF, red or green MULE 610 4X4 with model number KAF400ACF, and black or camouflage MULE 610 4X4 XC with model numbers KAF400DCF or KAF400ECF. They were sold between June 2011 and Feb. 2012.
WHY: The fuel tube can scrape against the air cleaner housing and develop holes, posing a fire hazard.
INCIDENTS: None reported.

TOYS
DETAILS: 4-in-1 Dramatic Play Theater toys made by Mega Profit Trading Ltd. in China and imported by Guidecraft Inc. of Winthrop, Minn. The recall is for toys with the model number G51062, which is printed on a sticker affixed to the bottom of the center crossbar and on the assembly instructions. The toy has two interchangeable panels with different themes on each side: a puppet theater and diner, or a doctor’s office and post office.
WHY: The toys can unexpectedly tip over during play, posing an entrapment hazard to young children.
INCIDENTS: Two reports of tip-over incident, including one with minor contusions to a child.

LAWN TRACTORS
DETAILS: Lawn tractors with transaxles made by Hydro-Gear Limited Partnership of Sullivan, Ill. This recall involves Cub Cadet, MTD Gold and Troy-Bilt lawn tractors sold with Hydro-Gear model 618-0319 and 618-04270B transaxles. Cub Cadet and Troy-Bilt tractors included in the recall have manufacture dates between December 2010 and March 2011. The DOM can be found on a label on the underside of the seat. MTD Gold can be identified by serial numbers starting with 1L15 or 1L16. Affected transaxles have serial numbers with the first four digits ranging between 0333 and 0348. Transaxle model and serial numbers are printed on a label on the transaxle.
WHY: A drive gear in the hydrostatic transaxle can fail, causing brake failure.
INCIDENTS: None reported.
