WASHINGTON (AP) ? Senior state and local law enforcement officials are meeting at the White House to discuss ways to combat violent extremism and homegrown terrorism.

The high-level gathering Wednesday is part of the Obama administration’s plan to help local law enforcement fight terrorism in communities across the country.
