Plantronics Voyager PROWireless cell phone headsets are handy devices when driving or when walking around an office or a conference room, but they?re not much use if the person on the other end can?t hear you.

The new Plantronics Voyager PRO ($100) isn?t the smallest or lightest Bluetooth wireless headset, but Plantronics asserts that the unit can deliver superior audio even in noisy settings.

The Voyager PRO?s adjustable short boom places its dual microphones close to your mouth while acoustic fabrics and metal screening minimize the effect of wind.

From there, said Plantronics, the unit uses the company?s own noise-cancellation technology to suppress ambient noise while enhancing voices, thus making it easier for you to be heard at the other end. The earpiece has a full-spectrum speaker, thus providing a high level of audio fidelity, according to Plantronics.

The unit, designed for comfortable long-term use, comes with a large, gel-padded earhook which loops neatly behind the ear. The Voyager PRO (www.plantronics.com/voyagerpro <http://www.plantronics.com/voyagerpro> ) offers up to 6 hours of talk time and 120 hours of standby time per charge of its lithium polymer battery. Like all Bluetooth wireless devices, the Voyager PRO has a range of up to 33 feet from the cell phone it?s connected to.
