Omokunbi
Adeoti is adamant about how she wants to be remembered. ?The one
greatest legacy in life is not about how fat your account has grown;
it?s about leaving a lasting positive change in the life of every person
you come in contact with,? she says. She sticks to this belief both in
her professional life and in her work with widows and orphans.
?Supporting widows, orphans and the less privileged is a passion for
me,? she says, citing as her role model the late Dr. Mrs. Kemi
Adamolekun, founder of the Kaleyewa House for Nigerian senior citizens.
?Although I do not have formal NGO, I have found private ways of doing
this and it gives me great joy just seeing another face with a hearty
smile.?

A Certified Global Professional in human resources who
facilitates workshops and seminars on human capital development, Adeoti
is a consultant member of the HR Consultant Operations Group of Airtel
Africa, a unit of Asia?s leading, and the world?s fifth largest,
telecommunications service provider, Bharti Airtel Ltd. She was
instrumental in ensuring the company?s smooth transition from Zain Group
ownership to the Bharti brand, as part of the team responsible for
talent acquisition and work-force planning. She began her career in
telecommunications at Econet Wireless Group and Celtel (Vmobile)
International, steadily moving up in management as she developed
customer care, training and leadership initiatives.

Adeoti
graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria with a bachelor?s
degree in economics and a master?s in business administration. Becoming a
Certified Global Professional in human resources was a huge
achievement. She says, ?At the time that I received certification, there
were only ten others. However, with the increasing awareness of the
value of the knowledge, particularly as organizations are expanding more
beyond the home country and seeking to take advantage of the effects of
globalization, the number has since increased and is still increasing.?
