WASHINGTON (AP) ? President Barack Obama travels to suburban Philadelphia on Tuesday to tour a classroom and meet with students and teachers at a head start center.

The president will visit Yeadon Regional Head Start Center in Yeadon, Pa., just outside of Philadelphia.

Obama is expected to discuss ways the White House is using executive action to get around Congress, where Republicans have opposed his jobs agenda.

The federal government’s Head Start program provides preschool for 900,000 low-income children.

Pennsylvania awards 20 electoral votes next year and is expected to be heavily contested by both Obama and his Republican challenger in the 2012 presidential election.
