PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (AP) ? President Barack Obama is citing a generally positive jobs report Friday as evidence the American economy is getting back on its feet.

Obama says there is still work to do, more than three years after what he calls the worst economic crisis of our lifetime. He was speaking at a Rolls Royce plant in Virginia that makes discs for jet engines hours after the government issued its February jobs report.

The report ? the latest barometer of the economy ? shows employers created 227,000 jobs last month. However, the unemployment rate was unchanged at 8.3 percent.

Obama says Rolls Royce is about to add more than 200 new jobs – including 140 at the plant he visited. He says the kind of manufacturing he saw there “gives me confidence that better days are coming.”
