Obama knocks GOP leader; says GOP blocks jobs vote

DALLAS (AP) ? President Barack Obama says the GOP’s “primary answer” to the nation’s job crisis has been one word: no.

Obama spoke at a Democratic fundraiser in Dallas on Tuesday ? as he attacked House Republican leaders for blocking an up-or-down vote on his entire jobs package.

House GOP leader Eric Cantor has said Republicans will permit a vote on parts they agree with, but not the entire $447 billion measure.

In remarks prepared for a later community college appearance near Dallas, Obama challenge Cantor to come to Texas “and explain what in this jobs bill he doesn’t believe in.”
