WASHINGTON (AP) ? President Barack Obama is welcoming 15 ambassadors to the White House on Wednesday and later meeting with the Treasury secretary and the nation’s mayors.
The president will receive the credentials from foreign ambassadors who have recently been posted in Washington. The ceremony marks the formal start of an ambassador’s service.
Also in the afternoon, Obama will meet with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner (GYT’-nur).
In the evening, the president will host a reception for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
