As Americans everywhere celebrated America?s independence yesterday, President Barack Obama said, in his July 4th address at The White House that, ?The United States — this improbable nation — is the greatest in the world.”
Later that day, he and first lady Michelle Obama threw a barbeque on the South Lawn congratulating and shaking hands with military heroes and their families. The day ended with fireworks on the National Mall.?
The celebration also included happy birthday wishes to the president?s older daughter, Malia, who turned 15.
