KAPOLEI, Hawaii (AP) ? President Barack is telling supporters everything they stand for and worked for in 2008 is on the line in his re-election bid.
Obama is making time for domestic politics and the constant demand for cash amid a nine-trip to Hawaii, Australia and Indonesia. At a fundraiser, he said economic times remain tough but that he has delivered repeatedly on his promise of change and now needs another term.
The president spoke to supporters inside the lush, waterfront Disney-themed Aulani Resort on the west side of Oahu.
About 250 people attended the fundraising brunch, with tickets starting at $1,000 per person. The profits flow into a joint fund supporting Obama’s re-election campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
Obama has a light schedule Monday after hosting an Asia-Pacific summit and holding talks with leaders of Russia, China and Japan.
